Pitt Biorepository Database (PBD) Search Interface

The PBD is a database containing information about existing collections of biological specimens (biorepositories) located at the University of Pittsburgh. This web site allows you to search for collections of samples that meet specified criteria and to review pertinent information about those collections. It contains the information that will enable you to contact the Principal Investigator (PI) of a biorepository in order to explore whether or not access to the samples is possible and collaboration is of mutual interest. Inclusion of a biorepository record in this database does not imply obligation on the part of the collection PI to share samples or collaborate.

Login using your University of Pittsburgh or UPMC credentials to view the biorepository information. Choose University of Pittsburgh or UPMC from the dropdown list on the login screen.

This database will be most useful if it is complete. And so, if you are in charge of a biorepository, please complete the data collection survey for any biorepository not yet included here.

These data are curated through the Office of Research, Health Sciences.
